I DID IT!!!

I did it -- I ran 13.1 miles when just 10 months ago, I couldn't even jog down the block!

It's definitely a fantastic accomplishment, and I knew the second I finished I knew I wanted to someday do a full. It was the most powerful moment - you feel like you do anything.

My sister and I SURPASSED our goal and raised $4124 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!! Thank you everyone who supported us throughout our endeavour!

It's a good workout when you leave the gym and you have your own weather system swirling around your head. I swear it wasn't snowing, but by the time I got to my door, I had little sweat snowflakes all over my fleece...

Today I bumped my workout from 30 to 50 min. I was aiming for the full 60, but my feet started hurting. I need to get brand new kicks, ideally ones specific to running, not the tennis ones I usually get... who am I kidding, I haven't touched a racquet in years.

But the good thing is, it really wasn't all that painful to keep going. That is a good sign that my body's adapting well to being pushed. It's been about two weeks since I started working out again. I definitely feel more confident today about my training schedule.
