I DID IT!!!

I did it -- I ran 13.1 miles when just 10 months ago, I couldn't even jog down the block!

It's definitely a fantastic accomplishment, and I knew the second I finished I knew I wanted to someday do a full. It was the most powerful moment - you feel like you do anything.

My sister and I SURPASSED our goal and raised $4124 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!! Thank you everyone who supported us throughout our endeavour!

Congrats to my sister!!! She completed her half-marathon... even tho in her morning stupor she forgot her timing chip! (Don't forget to get that back to NYRR, Elaine!) She has a gazillion pics taken tho, because she kept stopping to take pictures! If she wasn't being all touristy, she probably could've shaved an extra 15 minutes off her time! Gun time was 7am, and I saw met her at the finish line around 9:45. Not bad, I hope to make it under 3 hours. At my current pace around 12 and change I should probably be able to do that... But I am only at my half-way point at 7 miles! I think mentally it's a little daunting when I complete 7 miles, and then think to myself that I have to what I just did one more time... (and if I did the Full, 2.7 more times!!!)
