I DID IT!!!

I did it -- I ran 13.1 miles when just 10 months ago, I couldn't even jog down the block!

It's definitely a fantastic accomplishment, and I knew the second I finished I knew I wanted to someday do a full. It was the most powerful moment - you feel like you do anything.

My sister and I SURPASSED our goal and raised $4124 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!! Thank you everyone who supported us throughout our endeavour!

Okay I have not been good about updating my runs on my blog so here's some catch up:

Aug 12th - 7-8 mile long run - Ran in Central Park with my sister. Forgot to bring the iPod piece to my Nike+. We did one outer loop and an extra mile in lower loop.

Aug 19th - 8 mile long run - Couldn't find the shoe piece to my Nike+ for my iPod. Started off my run annoyed, since it was now the second week I would run without the feedback of my Nike+. I realize how much I like the feedback during my run -- how far I've gone, and how my pace is... Did the run from my neighborhood to Liberty State Park. Ran the extra mile in the park, and then back. My last mile or so I had to walk a good chunk of it because my right ankle and knee started hurting.

Aug 20th - 3.38 miles - Ran from my neighborhood to Liberty State Park and back after work. Needed to blow off some steam and helped. Decided to wrap my right ankle in a brace for my run, but actually stopped to take it off half way through. FInished with a great time - 42 min, (12.42 minute/mile pace).
