I DID IT!!!

I did it -- I ran 13.1 miles when just 10 months ago, I couldn't even jog down the block!

It's definitely a fantastic accomplishment, and I knew the second I finished I knew I wanted to someday do a full. It was the most powerful moment - you feel like you do anything.

My sister and I SURPASSED our goal and raised $4124 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!! Thank you everyone who supported us throughout our endeavour!

3 miles, 34:50 (11.61 minute/mile)

Asthmatic today, so breathing was labored... even after a puff of my inhaler. Tried not to walk as much, instead, slowing down my pace instead. I was reading this article about half-marathon strategy, and I think I am running too fast to go for distance. Thing is, when I run at a pace where I can "keep a conversation" I feel like I'm just skipping, like I might as well be walking. I don't know, will have to experiment with this more.

Weighed myself today too. Damn, those weeks of not working out has gained me almost all the weight I lost. I'm eating pretty luxuriously too these days...

Ordered that Chi Running book, like my friend who's running the Nike with me suggested. So should be coming in the mail one of these days.
