I DID IT!!!

I did it -- I ran 13.1 miles when just 10 months ago, I couldn't even jog down the block!

It's definitely a fantastic accomplishment, and I knew the second I finished I knew I wanted to someday do a full. It was the most powerful moment - you feel like you do anything.

My sister and I SURPASSED our goal and raised $4124 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!! Thank you everyone who supported us throughout our endeavour!

I ran in Liberty State Park today. It was a BEAUTIFUL day, and as I'm heading out to my gym, I'm like screw this! I'm gonna move my run outside!

I have to admit, between not running for a week, having less energy from still being a little sick, and the change in terrain (treadmill to concrete/asphalt), running today was real hard. I literally walked half the time, switching almost every 30 seconds...

I somehow lost my pedometer so I wasn't able to gauge how far I ran. I am guessing I went somewhere in the 2 mile range, which took me exactly 30 minutes. I definitely can see how switching from indoor to outdoor will mess with my training.

dude... you gotta start training more on roads when the weahter starts getting better, but not when it's hot... go in the morning or dusk. also, google has a pedometer you can use.
