I DID IT!!!

I did it -- I ran 13.1 miles when just 10 months ago, I couldn't even jog down the block!

It's definitely a fantastic accomplishment, and I knew the second I finished I knew I wanted to someday do a full. It was the most powerful moment - you feel like you do anything.

My sister and I SURPASSED our goal and raised $4124 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!! Thank you everyone who supported us throughout our endeavour!

3 mile run today in 35:03 (11.68 minute/mile)
10 min warm-up on elliptical

Had a knee-brace on the knee that was injured several years back running a 5K w/o training. It definitely felt weak today. I will need to do some targeted weight training for my knees so they're stronger.

I wasn't as wheezy today, even though it was colder today than the other day. My skin is so dry and crackly in this weather, I hate it. I think will be on 3 miles for a bit, maybe at least a month. I almost quit at 2. My mind was definitely put to ease now that I have that knee-brace on now tho. It feels weird and will take some time to get used to, but I like it so far.

I also got a quick massage today to try to ease the back pain from yesterday. I actually feel better today but I wanted to try out a massage place in downtown JC. They did a great massage my head and was able to find that messed up spot that was so insane... Is it possible to strain a muscle behind your ear running?!?!?! It's definitely connected down to my neck, but it ran all the way up my head and I was just perplexed at how much it hurt. The rest of the massage was alright, but not as good as the one I got at Graceful Spa... I will probably go back there next month.
